We call it out without giving it a second thought when somebody sneezes and, actually, demonstrates less than good health. That’s why it isn’t a determination of someone’s health, it’s a wish. Let’s make it more than a wish. Let’s make an effort.
There are many things we know we should do or leave alone when we take our health into consideration. But it has proven to be extremely difficult to adhere to these principles, because we also want to lead a pleasant and comfortable life. You can question the idea that the only way to have some joy in your life, are ways that cause bad health. That is not even a question. It’s an established fact that so called moments of satisfaction do not outweigh the consequence of feeling bad or sick afterwards.

Just consider. We all know that smoking is bad and that alcohol adds nothing to your body that you could call positive. Only because we experience something we call positive (not even “good”) at the time we use these substances, are they so hard to resist. Despite the long periods between usage when we feel worse than before.
The same goes for our eating habits. Too much fat, too much salt, too sweet and simply too much. A luxury problem: we simply have too much of everything and everything is too cheap and too easily attainable. So we steadily push the boundaries of what we “need”. But our bodies are unable to handle all these excesses in a healthy way, with all kind of physical problems as a consequence.
On top of that we should exercise more. Laziness could be considered a disease in itself, but the cure is very obvious. Just hard to stand by.
Why this emphasize on physical health when the topic is Floanchoring? Because being healthy and staying healthy do not come easy. They take attention and energy. In other words: it is an effort. And making the effort, resulting in getting healthier and fitter, will make you feel tremendously good about yourself. That good feeling will result in an enormous boost of your self esteem. Precisely because it doesn’t come easy, precisely because it is hard.
We could show you lectures of renowned scientists just to prove this point, but you can find those all over the internet if you want. Maybe it’s more fun to illustrate the relation between physical activity and mental well being by means of a simple children’s song from Austria.
